A new development of over 138,000 m2 is planned, with several new strong identity buildings and outdoor areas. It is planned for a rich and business-friendly city floor with premises for, among other things, catering, trade and services, outdoor and indoor squares, sports functions, exhibition centre, course and conference rooms. The outdoor area will be enriched with new parks, avenues, rooftop parks, squares and meeting places, a new city street, bio-dam and urban agriculture available to the whole of Ås. In the buildings, you will find modern premises for teaching, research, offices and co-working, student accommodation, as well as a new innovation arena with its own roof terrace and a view of the entire Ås.

A linear learning arena with pedagogical sequencesThe conclusion of historical analysis is that we think it is important to build upon the history and bind the area together with the old grid system, important axis and connect the area with a blue and green axis and to build on the story-telling through the landscape to connect the historical areas. We belive in connecting the campus and strengthening it through stronger corridors and not to create another "new layer".
